SeaLife Pharma wins science2business Award 2010

16.3.2010

SeaLife has won the Austrian ‘science2business Award 2010’ for its successful business strategy based on cooperative efforts.

On 16 March, the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth awarded, for the fourth time, the highly regarded science2business Award at Tech Gate Vienna. The focus: cooperation as a strategy in a changing world.
The 27 applicants encompassed a total of175 cooperation partners from 12 nations on three continents. These think tanks – universities and research institutions – supply the innovation pipelines of both large and small companies.
SeaLife Pharma® convinced the jury with its creative approach involving a complementary framework of cooperation partners, combining internationally renowned universities and research institutes with regional centers of competence. The company motto: “close cooperation with selected partners based on mutual trust”.
“We have chosen this strategy because searching for and subsequently developing active substances are entirely interdisciplinary processes conducted most efficiently by a pool of experts”.

The top-notch jury included Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Josef Glößl (University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna), Dr. Sabine Herltischka (Austrian Research Promotion Agency, FFG), Dr. Helga Prazak-Reisinger (OMV AG), DI Peter Schintlmeister (Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth) and Dr. Wolfgang Tüchler (accent).

This is an ideal opportunity to thank all those who have accompanied us over the past two years. This important prize caps a series of national and international awards that we received last year. Our successful development holds the promise of more such distinctions in the future.
